***TOURNAMENT RULES***
CIF SANCTIONED EVENT
NUMBER OF GAMES
3 games Guaranteed
ALL teams MUST play ALL their games. Even if you are not in a Championship game be respectful of an opposing team's right to get the full complement of all games played. Teams leaving without playing all scheduled games as well as teams failing to return to play in a consolation bracket/game will be profibited from future tournaments and will be responsible for referee fees.
AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams in all levels.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

No player is allowed to play on a different level teams at the tournament (play on Varsity and JV or JV and FS).
JR. VARSITY
-
No player in the tournament shall have played in a Varsity game prior to the tournament date.

Seniors are allowed to participate with JV teams as long as they have NOT played with Varsity before.
FROSH SOPH

No player in the tournament shall have played in a Varsity game prior to the tournament date.

Juniors and Seniors are restricted from participating with Frosh Soph team.

Teams found in violation of the above rules shall be EJECTED from the tournament and forfeit all points.

NO special circumstance or "agreements" will be made or accepted.
FACILITIES

A snack bar will be open at all venues

Bathroom facilities are available at all venues

No Dogs are allowed at any of the venues

Trainer will be available only for Varsity games at LHHS Stadium and LFSP - please bring your own pre-wrap and tape.
RED AND YELLOW CARDS
-
An ejected player cannot play in the next scheduled game (CIF RULE)

A player who is Yellow carded must be substituted for immediately. That player may reenter the game the next time that a substitution may be made for his team (CIF RULE)

Player receiving Red Card for Violent Conduct or Referee Assault will be suspended from the the Tournament
GAME TIME (KEPT BY THE REFEREE) IS RUNNING TIME
JUDGEMENT CALLS BY REFEREES MAY NOT BE PROTESTED.
Match lengths:
Varsity – 70 min games (80 min Final)
JV and FS – 60 min games (70 min Finals)
Match Scoring:
Teams will be awarded points on the following basis:

Three (3) points for each win

One (1) point for each tie

Zero (0) points for each loss

MINUS ONE (-1) POINT FOR EACH PLAYER, COACH OR SPECTATOR EJECTED
Pool Play Tie Breakers:
In the event of a tie in points at the end of pool play, the teams to advance will be determined
as follows (for a three-way tie, the steps do not start over after one team is eliminated):

Semi-Final and Final:
Semi-Final and Final matches that are ties after the end of regulation play will go directly to
Kicks from the Mark (no overtime will be played). Games going to kicks will be recorded as a Tie
for a losing team and a Win for winning team.
Player, Coach, and Spectator Conduct
Coaches are responsible for the conduct and behavior of their players, parents and spectators
on their side. Poor sportsmanship, repeated fouls, verbal abuse and negative yelling will not be
tolerated at any time and may result in being removed from the match facility, and forfeiting
the Tournament.
Teams will be situated on opposite sides of the field.
Home Team
Team listed as Home team will wear Dark (their School color) and Away team will wear White
per CIF Rules. Coin toss will be conducted on the field by referee. Home team will provide game
balls and pick side for their spectators.
Rainouts and Non-playable fields
Tournament is using all turf fields and matches will be played as scheduled. In rare case when
fields become unplayable, teams will go straight to Kicks from the mark. The games will be
recorded as a tie for the losing team and a win for winning team. There will be no refunds for
rainouts.
